HTC Thunderbolt to give serious competition to Apple iPhone 5 ?

Two smartphones that are currently making news all over are the iPhone 5 and HTC Thunderbolt! The latter which has been released today on Verizon is the latest Android smartphone which is likely to become 2011′s mega launch with all up-to-date features like Verizon’s 4G LTE network and both 4G and 3G capabilities!
There are a lot of questions regarding the iPhone 5 as most of the news published on it are rumours and nothing is for sure till now as Apple is not quite ready to spill out all the details.
The biggest worry is whether it is going to be a 4G phone or will it run on LTE network? Also latest rumours say that it might have a slide-out QWERTY keypad. Among other features, iPhone 5 is to have an A5 dual core processor like the one in iPad 2!
While in HTC Thunderbolt, the smartphone has 1GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera, 4.3 inch touchscreen, Android 2.2 giving it a drawback as it is not using the latest Android 2.3. It might be considered to be a setback as compared to Apple’s iPhone because this phone is to run on single core processor or maybe because Apple is much hyped among everyone and just the name draws a lot of customers towards it despite the drawbacks!
