Tsunami Warning Issued By NWS For California
The National Weather Service (NWS) has upgraded the possibility of a Tsunami for California to a Warning. The waves may reach up to 1-meter.
The advisory for the southern portions of California should expect the wave between 8:00-9:00 am; if it does occur. They are advising residents to seek higher ground.
Warnings along the west coast reach as far north as Alaska where they expect unusually large waves and as far south as Hawaii. The Hawaiian authorities will brace for the possible high wave around 3:00 am their local time.
